Bulls and cows started the transhumance 15 days ago, leaving Trujillo in the Extremadura province up to Sierra de Gredos.
The traditional route for the movement of livestocks in Gredos is the ancient Roman road, 2nd century BC, which is very well preserved, and it is part of the Royal Glen.
The Transhumance celebration is the welcome to a new summertime. It is happening from Roman times. This year we followed the cattle on horseback from south to north of the mountains trough the Roman Road, up to Puerto del Pico (1352m)
